BASED ON NEET SS 2018/2019/2020 EXAM PATTERN
The exam paper consists of 2 parts
Part A – Has 40 Questions from Feeder subjects which are – Medicine + Pediatrics + Pathology + Biochemistry – MCQs from all four subjects are there irrespective of your feeder qualification.
Part B – Has 60 Questions from Hematology (Hematopathology + Clinical Hematology combined)
What to follow?
1. Feeder Subjects – Follow and solve PG Level MCQ books for these 4 subjects Medicine/Pediatrics/Pathology/Biochemistry. Most of these Qs can be covered by solving these PGMEE MCQ books only. Examples are given below
Medicine – Mudit Khanna/Deepak Marwah
Pediatrics – Meenakshi Bothra(Jaypee)
Pathology – Vandana puri tiwari (CBS)
Biochemistry – Rebbaca James
2. Hematology – You need to cover Clinical Hematology as well as Hematopathology part irrespective of whether you are from path or med/paed.
Books – Hoffbrands Postgraduate Hematology and Or Bathesda Handbook of clinical hematology is best to cover clinical hematology with some hematpathology part hence it is highly recomended + Cover in detail the Hematology part given in Harrison medicine textbook.
Med/Pediatrics residents should additionaly read Hematology part from Robbins Pathology book and solve Hematology part from some pathology PGMEE MCQ book in detail. Pathology residents may also do above to refresh their memories.
MCQ BOOK for HEMATOLOGY: MCQs in Hematology 2nd Edition 2020 by Sanjeev Kumar Sharma & Pawan Kumar Singh can be followed.
